Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve comprises 55 hectares of subtropical rainforest overlooking the Glass House Mountains landscape. A remnant of the rainforests that once covered the Blackall Range, the reserve is a living museum of diverse plant and animal life which will delight with its tranquillity and beauty. The glass house mountains are plugs of the once active volcano and the home of the Gubbi Gubbi tribe. We view the mountains from the Mountain View Café and the viewing platform. After a stroll in the rain forest we enjoy wine tasting and afternoon tea before we head back to Brisbane.
